Continuum/G-Band/CaK Full-Disk Observation

The observation is carried out with the Solar Flare Telescope in the Mitaka Campus.

Objective lens: D=125 mm, f=2250 mm

Filter
Continuum (2012. Jun. 1 - present): HOYA G530 530 nm FWHM 50 nm

G-Band (2012. Jun. 1 - 2022. Jan. 31): Materion/Barr 430.5 nm FWHM 1.0 nm
Note: This filter was cracked on March 2020, and we replaced it to new one at the end of January 2021. The G-Band data quality is bad for this period.
G-Band (2022. Feb. 1 - present):Alluxa 430.5 nm FWHM 1.2 nm

CaK (2015. Jul. 1 - 2020. Dec. 8): DayStar 393.4 nm FWHM 0.2 nm
Note: This filter had been gradually degrading, and the CaK data quality is especialy bad after 2019.
CaK (2020. Dec. 9 - present): Alluxa 393.4 nm FWHM 0.37 nm OD6

Full-Disk Images (“image” directory, jpg format)

2020 2021 2022 2023 2024
2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019

Full-disk images at three wavelengths. The image orientation is the Sun’s north at the top and west to the right. Names of data files are

“mtk_ft_{cak, contgr, gband}_fd_{YYYYMMDD}T{hhmmss}_i.jpg”

for color images of 1024×1024 pixels, which are taken in every about one hour, and

“mtk_ft_{cak, contgr, gband}_fd_{YYYYMMDD}T{hhmmss}_i_today.jpg”

for color images of 2048×2048 pixels (the best resolution in our observations) as the representative images on a day of observation. Each word and its meaning in the names above is as follows;

  • {cak, contgr, gband}: Types of Wavelength. The cak for the calcium-K line, contgr for the continuum (around 530 nm), and gband for the G-band.
  • {YYYYMMDD}: Date (UT). The YYYY for year, MM for month, and DD for day (in integer).
  • {hhmmss}: Time (UT). The hh for hour, mm for minute, and ss for second.

Full-Disk Images (“fts” directory, FITS format)

2020 2021 2022 2023 2024
2010 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 2017 2018 2019

Data of full-disk images taken at the calcium-K, continuum, and G-band in the FITS format. They are named as

“mtk_ft_{cak, contgr, gband}_fd_{YYYYMMDD}T{hhmmss}_i.fts”.

The explanations of {cak, contgr, gband}, {YYYYMMDD}, and {hhmmss} are found in Full-Disk Images (“image” directory, jpg format) table above.
The Dark/flat correction, P-angle correction, and centering of the disk were applied.

Products of the sunspot detection with full-disk continuum images. Names of data files and their contents are as follows:

“pcg{YYYYMMDD}_{hhmmss}_11_contrast.jpg” (Enhanced full-disk image. 1040×1040 pixels jpg),

“pcg{YYYYMMDD}_{hhmmss}_11_detectspot_param.csv” (sunspot detection parameters. csv),
