Okayama Observatory Active Region Vector Magnetograms
The observation was made by vector magnetograph in Okayama Astrophysical Observatory. The routine operation of the Okayama magnetograph was stopped at the end of 1995.
Maps of Vector Magnetogram (gif file, 652x718 pixels)
-
- Red and blue contours indicate positive (N-polarity) and negative (S-polarity) magnetic fields along the line of sight.
- Green bars indicate the strength and direction of transverse magnetic fields.
- The image orientation is celestial north at the top and west to the right.
- The files are named "obYYMMDDn.gif", where 'YYMMDD' is the JST(=UT+9) date of observation and 'n' is the serial number of observation.
Maps of Vector Magnetogram (fits-format data)
-
- The files are named "obYYMMDDn.fts", where 'YYMMDD' is the JST(=UT+9) date of observation and 'n' is the serial number of observation.
