The data are based on sunspot sketches obtained at Tokyo Astronomical Observatory (University of Tokyo) and National Astronomical Observatory by using a Zeiss 20cm refractor. The number of sunspots f, the number of groups g, and the sunspot relative numbers R = k *(10*g + f) are listed for north and south hemispheres separately. For data older than 1939 March, the east-west reference lines were not recorded on the sketches and we could not unambiguously determine to which hemisphere the regions belonged, so that only the sum over both hemispheres are listed. In 1998 June, we have switched to a new, CCD-based digital system on a 10cm refractor. Sunspot sketches on the 20cm Zeiss refractor were terminated on 1999 March. In the CCD-based digital system since 1998, the detection of sunspots has been done by refering thresholds of brightness in an image. We have used two threshoulds of mi-6.0*sd (for a small spot and penumbra) and mi-30.0*sd (for an umbra in a large spot), where mi and sd are the mean intensity and standard deviation of photospheric brightness, respectively. The both of features detected with the thresholds above have been regarded as individual spots to calculate "f". Hence, we find f=1 for a small spot without penumbra and f=2 for a large spot which have an umbra and surrounding penumbra.
