STEP/S-RAMP Solar Optical Data On-Line

The Solar-Terrestial Energy Program (STEP) has been conducted from 1990 through 1997, aiming at the understanding of solar influences upon the earth's environment in terms of energy flow from the sun. The Program was organized by SCOSTEP under ICSU, and many Japanese institutions have participated. SCOSTEP has subsequently organized a five-year project S-RAMP (STEP-Results, Applications, and Modeling Phase), which is a step toward defining the next international observation program in the 21st century. In the data analysis phase the most important building block is the database. Our observatory has made the following database available in the framework of S-RAMP data analysis program.

The following database has been built with financial support from the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (from the Ministry of Education and from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, FY1998, 2000-2003, Project Leader: T.Ogino, STELAB, Nagoya University).
