The images up to 1991 were taken with a film camera. The files are named "cnYYMMDDhhmm.tif", where 'YYMMDD' is the date of observation and 'hhmm' is the JST(=UT+9) time of observation. The 'hhmm' part is omitted if the observing time is unknown.

The images since 1997 have been obtained with the NOGIS CCD system. The files are named "fYYMMDD.nnn.jpg", where 'YYMMDD' is the date (JST) of observation and 'nnn' is the serial number of frames taken. The UT date and time of observation is indicated in the images.
